In your thread about bleaching indain hair http://www.hairboutique.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=31986& amp;KW=FinaFina are you saying that processing for 1 hour 10 minutes gave the lightest result, whereas processing for 1 hour 30 minutes gave a yellow blonde color?  Just curious as I'm going to bleach my virgin indian hair when it arrives.

Hiya Birdie

Oh gollly, It was so long ago that I did those bleaching experiments, and believe me I'm no expert. However, just for you to know, the longer it takes, the better; in other words, if you do a quick lift with high-volume peroxide and  bleach (i.e. 40 vol with heat) the hair gets trashed *reallly quickly* but if you use a regular method such as 40 vol w/bleach w/little heat it takes a while to do the lifting, but it will come up beautifully. Just bear in mind that as far as I know you will need to use the 40 vol bleach. I know that the true hair pros use acid of some type but I have no experience/familiarity with that. . .

Honestly, I'm no color expert; all I can say is that the Indian hair *will* come up *really beautifully*; however you need to give it the TIME it takes (I'm an expert on this since it takes so long for my own natural color to get to where it needs to be blonde-wise). . .good luck. . . I have so much respect for the hair processing companies that can get those Asian black/dark brown colors to the beautiful blondes they sell!!!

Thanks for responding Fina!  I've never bleached hair so dark before, so I'm going to do what you did.  I'm glad you posted that thread and thanks for the advice!  I can't wait for the hair to arrive!
