Hey guys,

I'm thinking of growing my hair long. The style is I want is like below:

Err a few questions, did this dude jes grow his hair long, or does it look like he got it styled along the way. Also how long does hair take to grow?? Bear in mind my hair is currently a medium-long length. Is it true that the growth of hair slows down as it becomes a medium to long length?

Thanks

Hair's growth doesn't necessarily slow down, providing the person is healthy, has a good diet etc.  As hair gets very long (mid back lengths and longer) it may hit a resting phase here and there, but you aren't getting anywhere near a length where that might happen, so I wouldn't worry about it.  Eat right, get exercise, all of that will help your hair.  Hair grows an average of 1/2 inch (or slightly more than a centimeter) a month.

His hair is styled (has been cut) this way.

I have a very similar hair cut as the man in the picture but i am having some problems with it.  Whenever i go out and the wind blows my hair all over the place, my hair becomes thicker and its very hard to get it to look normal again without being in front of a mirror.  If the wind doesnt blow my hair, it will look good the entire day so i am not sure how to fix my problem.  Is my hair just too thick and i need to thin it out?
