Ok, with all the new installs this week, I had a hard time comming up with a new subject name!!!

Whew!!

Ok, I installed the Diva hair that I have been coloring.  I ended up using the natural (level 4) and then I added some copper color that I colored.  I did several color experiments, from a 5red (I think it looked more like Ronald McDonald REd), some burgandy, and then 2 different shades of copper brown.

This picture above is the red, and the burgandy next to the original color of the weft.

These ones above are the two copper colors that I did.  This is what I decided to go with.  The natural 4 color and the darker copper color.

I installed the Diva hair using Pro-tac cut in half then 2 wefts on each tape piece, fold it over and sandwiched in my hair.  I did 4 rows like this and then added a 5th row on top with only one weft and 1/4 of the tape and did not sandwich the top.  I used one weft of the darker color then used one weft of the copper color and laid them on top of each other on the tape, and put them in that way, so I have some really nice highlights going on.  The thing that I have found is I either need to sew or glue the wefts together or use wider tapes, because I am having some of the wefts slip out of the tape.  So I will be doing some repair work soon.

The first pic is just after install, I did not cut anything at all. Yet.

These next ones are after a good 3-4" trimming of the ends and layering.

Sorry no make-up and I am still in my "hair coloring" clothes.

I am really happy with how the hair feels and easy it is to work with.

I am really disappointed with the thickness of the hair, this is the normal amount of rows and hair that I put in, but the hair feels pretty thin.  I am either going to have to tripple the wefts or find some where to put a couple more rows in, not sure how I will be able to do the later, as my head is pretty full right now.  I also found that I had to cut alot of the ends off because they were pretty thin looking.  There seems to be quite a difference in the length of the hair on the weft.  It is single drawn, and I know that it will have varying lengths, but it is really noticable on one of the wefts that I have, like a 6" difference in the length.  I think that is way I had to trim so much off the length of the hair.

I am also having alot of shedding, at first I thought it wasn't too bad, but I did have it in a ponytail most of the time, now that I have been wearing it down for the last 12 hrs, I have had gobbs of hair come out.  I feel like a cancer patient, it comes out in clumps.  I sealled the original weft (#4 color) with fray-block, but I did not seal the ends or the copper one.  I'm not sure what I am going to do the fix this problem, but it looks like I am going to have to take out the wefts to fix it.  I'll keep you posted as to what I find works.

I did email Aphrodite and I am waiting to hear back from her.

Great job with the hair dye and install.  The highlights blend nicely, looks natural and matches your hair very well.  Hope you can find something that will remedy the shedding!
