Style Help? [[pictures]]

Hi.

My hair is about the length in the pictures (maybe just a tad shorter, and without layers) I was just wondering how to get the looks below. Would they look the same without layers? ..I'm really just trying to let my hair grow out but I want it too look nice.. the ponytail thing is getting kind of boring. Also what size curling iron should I use?
