Is shoulder length hair long or short

I was wondering on shoulder length hair is it short or long? When I go into the hair talk I want to go into the right forum. I was always told it was mid length.

Here are my definitions (some will agree and some disagree)

Very short - above the ears   (all of the ear shows)                     Short - ears to chin   (some ear covered to chin)         ;           ;           ; Medium - chin to just above shoulders        &nb sp;         &nb sp;         &nb sp;         Long - shoulders to bra strap         & nbsp;         & nbsp;         & nbsp;         & nbsp;          Very long - bra strap on down

 

The short-hair fans, like me, will say shoulder-length is long.  The long-hair fans will say it's short :-P .  There really just needs to be a "mid-length" board around here, or something.  Or has one been made already since last time I was here?  *blink blink*  *really needs to visit more often*

I'm Mitch and I've been a hairstylist for 15 years now and here is an answer to your question. Shoulder length hair is considered to be Medium Length hair or called Mid Length. But if the hair is a little past the shoulders it can be called longer mid length and if the hair is just above the shoulders it can be called shorter Mid Length. I hope this answered your question.
