I am naturally a level 7 dark blonde.  Usually I get foil highlights @ the salon (bleach).  I know, as the hairstylist told me, that I can't get to a 1 with color.  I've tried all kinds of highlighting kits but they never work.  I found L'Oreal Blondissimes (sp) that said it would take me from dark blonde to the very light ash blonde I like.  The photo looked EXACTLY like my desired shade.

Soooo, I tested it out on the virgin 7 hair underneath my foil highlighted hair in the back.  Well, OF COURSE, it did not get anywhere near a 1

Soooo, I'm resigned to the fact that I must have to bleach my hair   I really wanted an easy application, rinse out color   Anyway, does anyone have any product recommendations, and any helpful hints would be appreciated.  I would be applying this to the dark blonde underneath and on top (new growth).  I know roots take color quicker.  I don't know what the timing would be for bleach   I have fine blonde hair but lots of it.  I've hear about some products at Sally's.  TIA

Level 1 is black level 10 is pale yellow

what shade do you want confused?! Is it blonde?!

Haircolor will work if you are light blonde to begin with.Deve;oper does the lifting probably one to 2 shades. Sometimes high lift tints will work on medium blonde. Brunettes forget it brown has a lot of red undertones and bleach is the only thing that can (lift) it out

The stylist had swatches of hair that ranged from 1-7 (all blondes) and she said I was a "7" which was the darkest blonde.

I think I'm just going in for foils anyway - I also need a good cut b/c I trimmed off a bunch of frizzed-beyond-belief ends.
