I tan in tanning beds. Are the UV rays bad for your hair? What should i use to protect my hair if in fact IT IS BAD for your hair. :)

I always put a towel around my hair when I use a tanning bed. I spread it out on the top of the bed, stretch my hair up over my head, and then wrap the towel around the rest of my head. It gets warm but it beats the potential damage!

I also would use a towel or even a terry-cloth lined shower cap when I used tanning beds.  I color my hair, and before I started covering it the color would fade more quickly.  The UV rays dry your hair out, so if you have chemically treated/colored hair it's especially important to keep it protected.
