QuoteReplyTopic: How can I get wavy hair instead of curly? Posted: May 07 2006 at 11:50am
I'm a 16 year old guy with dark brown, naturally curly caucasian hair.
I can dig up
some pics if needed. The thing is, my hair gets poofy rather easily.
What can I do to make it lay flatter? Also, I'd
like to go from my curly/semi-shaggy look to a more wavy/shaggy look. I
guess I want it to lay flatter and curl less. How should I go about
doing this?
Is there a way I should get it cut or just something I should use in
it? All I use in my hair now is some anti-frizz stuff and some kind of
Frizz-Ease volume reducing thing.
Seriously, I think if you added a second conditioner to your routine, it would help weigh the hair down. Maybe try shampoo, rinse, conditioner 1, rinse, conditioner 2, rinse. It sounds tedious but it's only an extra couple minutes or so in the shower.
The conditioner 1 should be a lightweight drugstore brand like Suave or V05 or White Rain.
