Hair dye thief jailed for 28 weeks

A man who pleaded guilty to stealing items belonging to a woman was on Friday sentenced to 28 weeks in prison.
Magistrate Chandra Sohan handed down the sentence at the New Amsterdam Magistrate's court after Ganishwar Harry changed his plea to guilty of the simple larceny charge.
It was alleged that between April 10 and 11 at Number 79 village he stole 30 bottles of Jenson and a quantity of hair dye totalling $7,340, from Geetanjali Jaundoo.
