I love the look of straight hair, so I bought some heat activated straightening lotion. I did exactly what it said and my hair was straight, for about 5 minutes! I have naturally curly, not real curly, hair. But it frizzes so bad. What can I do and what products can I use to get that super straighht, sleek look? I'm so sick of nothing working! Thanks

Jeff- The first one that I tried was Jheri Redding blow-dry activated straightening lotion. This actually worked the first time I used it. I think the moon and stars must have been aligned just right. HA!HA! The other one that I tried was Simply Straight/Sleek ends by Loreal Studio Line. My hair just does not want to be straight. It's wavy and it drives me crazy. Even when I use these products my hair still frizzes. So, on top of the straightening lotion to keep the frizzes down or try to keep them down, I use Murray's pomade, I usually use too much then I have greasy hair, or Just Long Hair Dry Ends Conditioner. I also use a product called theorie-smooth styles. It is suppose to tame fly-aways and frizzes. Am I just using the wrong products?

I was having the same problems you describe. I have tried a multitude of products...Freeman, Jheri Redding, Citre Shine, LaMaur, etc., etc. I have discovered TIGI CONTROL FREAK products. I use the shampoo, conditioner, and serum. They are miracle workers for me. My hair is a little below shoulder length, curly, and prone to frizz since I live in humidity-ridden Mississippi. These products will straighten if I use a blow dryer and brush, or keep my hair virtually frizz-free if I decide to let it curl. I am sold! I have been using it for three months.
