About 2 months ago I got my hair cut to right at my shoulders in back and layered in the front. I`m in the process of re-growing my natural hair color out and want to grow it long. But the hair dresser has messed up the layers badly:my left side is longer than right side(can hide it though) and the right side layers are just messed up. Some look good and is not real noticeable but some are real short and the front long and blend in. I didnt notice this until my husband pointed this out. Should I cut it back to 1 layer which will be about chin length or keep disguising it, get regular trims, and let it keep growing out? Any advice would be great. My hair is now past my shoulders in back and I hate to have to cut it so short again. I dont look bad with short hair, but I miss my long locks. Help!
Thanks,
Shian

well, i asked a similar question a while back- about cutting it all off or slowly trimming it as it goes- and everyone told me to just cut it off. but i couldn`t deal with going short again so i am slowly trimming it off as it continues to get longer. it takes longer for your hair to look nice again but i think this is a better way for me (i love long hair)

Hey Shian! I remember you saying something on a different thread about growing it out? In that case, I`d say just be patient and trim it gradually...it probably won`t take as long as cutting it short and starting from scratch. Just make sure that you have someone you trust trimming it for you.
Good lcuk to ya! :)

Ingrid

Yup! I have to say I agree with the replies so far. Going from long to short can be a bit of a shocker for most... but everyone is different. Do you think you could deal with short hair again?
