i've got coarse hair as well, but there are a number of reasons why your hair isn't where you want it to be.

1.  it may be your products.  they may not be working for you.

2.  how frequently do you poo/cond/moisturize?  pooing too much, using a protein cond too often and/or not moisturizing enough leads to dryness.

3.  do u sleep with a satin scarf or cap every night?

4.  are you drinking enough water, taking vitamins, keeping up good health?

5.  what type of climate do you live in?  is it very dry, humid, cold?

i shampoo every 1-2 weeks and clarify every month. I always condition after i wash and i don't have protien in my products, except for my leave in.

yep, and i try to keep it on until i have to go somewhere.
4.  are you drinking enough water, taking vitamins, keeping up good health?
i don't take vitaminsbut i do drink water and i try to stay healthy. i haven't had fast food in about a month & a half
5.  what type of climate do you live in?  is it very dry, humid, cold?
i live in a dry climate, which is cold in the winter and dry/humid in the summer.

The other ladies have given you great advice- you may also wanna try a glycerin/water spritz - 1 oz of glycerin to 4-6 oz of water ( basically the same as the s-curl only cheaper to make yourself).

Also deexox- you may want to try pre-pooing(overnite or 10-15 mins prior to pooing with heat) with castor oil weekly as well as deep conditioning weekly(45-60 mins with heat)- i didn't see any mention of that.

Try the phytospecific line its really great, and switch to a silk scarf not satin , silk is a natural fiber it can breath, satin is man made.
