It has been a terrible hair week for me! I have been very busy and have had no time to deal with my hair! I am currently growing it out from a chin length layered bob in the front and clippered shorter in the back (did this cut back in May) Now it is 3 inches longer all over and a pain in the http The layers are abundant from the top of my ears down so If I don`t product and blow dry - it is just a bunch of points sticking out every where. It is very thick hair - I had it BSL when I cut it on Feb 16 2002 and the hair stylist measured the diamter of the ponytail - it was 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Just so that you have an idea of how it must look in the growing out stages here. So before I go into one of those "zones" where I am not thinking rationally. Someone jump on and tell me not to cut it!!!! I blame this "zone" for my last bout with the hairstylist. Oh yeah, my last trim was on Oct 5 and she took off about 1/4 inch.

thanks for listening.

Hey, Jacqui! Hang in there, girl! I know that growing it out is trying on your patience and can make ya kinda crazy, but it`ll pay off in the end!!!! If you don`t like your layers, you can let them grow & gradually trim them out, but don`t cut it all! (By your posting this, I`m assuming that you are growing it long?) Everybody has bad hair days (or weeks), but don`t let `em get to ya! Just think about how great it will be to feel your long hair blowing across your neck and settling softly on your shoulders. Think about how the wind will pick it up and toss it across your back & what a divine sight you`ll be with your long hair flowing about you! You can do it! :) :)
Hope I could help! :)
Love,
Ingrid

Ingrid - Thanks so much. Your words mean a lot! Yes I am trying to get it to BSL or longer if I can. Are you growning too?

Jacqui-
Glad I could help! :) No, I`m not growing....mine`s short & I`m going to keep it that way for a while at least. But, I`ve gone through growing it out before, I so know how it goes. Best to luck to ya reaching your hair goal- just be patient and it`ll happen!
Lotsa Love,
Ingrid

This is an old thread and I'm bumping it up because it had good advice.

Also if Jacqui is still around perhaps she could give us an update?
