    Posted: July 03 2006 at 11:40am
Okay so I just decided to go natural.  Actually, I haven't had a perm since November of last year but as of now I have made the personal decision not to get another relaxer.  I am currently not even straightening my hair.  I only wash it and put leave-on conditioners and sprays and a whole buncha crap in it...this is currently my "everyday" style:

Now I guess the next step is to actually make my curly du look GOOD.  Heh heh...Yeah I'm looking for suggestions of products and tips on how to make my hair a little more manageble since the crown of my head is 3c and looks like this:

but the middle and back looks like this!

How can I make the curls softer and more like the crown of my head???  Any replies or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Andi.

I agree with still n love. Your hair is beautiful!

Usually the front of our hair gets the most attention cause we can see it and we avoid the middle of the hair, which is probably why your curls our more defined in the front. When you put your products in concentrate on the middle areas too. Ask a buddy for help.

My favorite product to use is Smooth n' Shine Activator Gel w. Aloe.  It provides hold, definition, and leaves my hair very soft to touch.

Your hair may or may not look like the hair in the front, espcially if it is 2 different textures.  Also, ifyou have relaxed hair still attached to the new growth it could be weighting your natural hair down and you will not be able to see your actual texture until it is all removed.

At night spray your hair down with setting lotion then put it in small braids or cornrows.  When you unbraid them in the morning it should more defined.
