Hi... I'd like some opinions plz..... I am growing my hair out and its about 6 inches on the top and sides and back now, sort of below collar length at the back and below my nose at the front and covering my ears lol. I want to keep growing it and normally i wear a baseball cap to cover it and keep it out of the way. Me and my mom are going to a sort of dress up restaurant for a party and dinner in a couple of weeks and she's told me that I can't wear my cap at the restaurant. She wants me to tie my hair back out of my face. I've tried just gelling and wax but it doesn't stay back. So, anyway she wants me to tie it in either a half tail or a french braid. Which do you all think is less girlish looking. Any other suggestions other than these two styles?

Thx

Ashlee

Personally, I think just washing it before the event and maybe putting it behind your ears is going to look a lot better than either of the styles you mentioned.  This is my opinion only, but I think french braids are a little bit feminine (not regular braids, but french braids) and so is a half-ponytail.  I'm not trying to be insulting at all, but since you asked for opinions, this is mine.
