QuoteReplyTopic: Clairol Shine Happy vs Clairol Radiance Colorgloss Posted: July 10 2006 at 5:30pm
#1 is a new drugstore glossing product, #2 is
the salon version that you can buy at Sally's. I bougt the Shine Happy
today, but I'm a little concerned--the box recommends not glossing
until 3-4 weeks after coloring hair, but I have heard of many people
getting salon glossing treatments right after color, plus, with the
Radiance, they don't have that warning at all. Any thoughts?
The shine happy I have heard bad things about, that it doesn't work too well and that it leaves a rubber coating on the hair. I wouldn't go with Shine Happy.

I used the shine happy a few months ago and it lifted my color almost two shades lighter! I really didn't notice that much shine either. If you do use it, I would only leave it on for half the time recomended unless you want lighter hair.

shine happy lifted your colored hair 2 shades? hmmmm, sounds like something someone could use if wanting to lighten the hair...did it leave your hair in good or bad condition? i have not heard great things about this product...i have also tried the clairol radience and it didn't do anything but made my hair dry.

My hair was in crappy condition to begin with but it did feel aliitle soft. just not that much shinier. Anyway I got a box of it free but decided to find out more about it first and when I read reviews on it most people said it lightened their hair. at the time that sounded good to me so I tried it and it did lighten it alot. Maybe I should try it again and just put it on my roots so it will match the rest of my hair. Also a small group of people said it didn't lighten their hair so maybe I was among the "unfortunate" ones?

it does contain a bit of peroxide....that is why they say wait 3-4 weeks after a coloring....the stuff oh what is the name....clairol radiance, you get that in at sallys also takes color out of your hair because of the peroxide...when you have to mix anything, if you have 2 botls of product you can just about bet that it has peroxide or something to activate it....you know what bambilee, we could go the better route, well i don't know if radiance (LIFTS) or not....i have found this beautiful demi color for my hair...it is redkens shades eq, in golden topaz, (level 8 copper gold) and then level 7 curry and level 6 sandstone copper gold....i had just ruined my hair with perm color and corrections and then the EPISODE that had my hair coming out from breakage.....anyhoo, my husband thinks i would look better in a lighter red so i am always looking for things to do to my poor hair....i need one of those hair heads...hee.....i saw all of those when i went to orentation to the eric fisher academy and i wanted one to take home...i am going to go in dec (God Willing) to cosmotology school....i colored my hair once and became a junkie...they should warn ya about that on the label...POSSIBLE HEROIN LIKE ADDICTION!
