QuoteReplyTopic: Question...shampooing after coloring... Posted: July 13 2006 at 7:19am
OK, when you buy a haircolor kit in a box at the drugstore, the formula seems to have shampoo built right in--when your color is done processing, you "lather it up" and rinse it out, and then deep condition. The professioinal stuff you buy at Sally's--does it do the same thing? When they say to rinse it out when you're done, do you "later it up" first OR do you rinse and then shampoo yourself or totally NOT shampoo at all? I didn't catch anything about this in the Sally's products directions....thanks....

All Haircolouring products have a built in cleanser, even the ones in Sally's, but they are in the colour product itself. No need to shampoo, but most people do use shampoo after colouring. Will not do any harm, conditioner is a must.
