Hi,
I did several bleach strand tests on my dyed dark brown hair. I took sections from the darkest and most damaged parts i.e. my tips, from all over the head. I used Manic Panic's Flashlightning and checked the bleach every 10 minutes. I left it on for an hour in total and rinsed/shampooed/conditioned. The strands are a very even strawberry blonde which I was very pleased with for a first application (BTW these parts of my hair were bleached to dark orange 10 months ago) and the hair was left very strong but a little dry as to be expected.
Should I go ahead with my full bleach bearing in mind I'm going for a good haircut before hand? Or shall I still try Colorfix first which in the past has done little or nothing and been a waste of money? By the way my aim is to get rich red hair (I'm using Special Effects semi-permanent which is full of natural ingredients).

Heeey Honey i would advise you to get your haircut after you done your hair, to se where the damaged parts are,I would just og ahead bleaching if the colorfix does not do much for you.
On the bleach front, i found that Tints of Nature(wich offers envierment safe hair colours, that are not to damgeding...)They also now sell bleach kits:D they kost 212 N.R.K wich would be around 40 dollars....
My hair is dyed black (was platinum before idyed it) and im also going back to the ligther side later this fall, so let me know how it went for jah:D
12 Inch Wawa, Installed with Protac, i love hair extensions<3
The thing is I haven't received the dye yet (from USA) so I don't want to bleach it yet - and my hair appointment is booked for next friday. Not sure if the dye will come in time. I thought it would be better after the haircut because then the bleach would go more even resulting in the colour going more even? (Because my tips will have so much dye build-up and are so dark, and my natural colour is light blonde - so roots will go platinum, I will have to get them as balanced as possible).
I'm having my hair cut pretty short with lots of layers so I hope it goes ok. I'll let you know...
