Okayyy...here's my story ;)
i've wanted red hair forever, but i can never seem to dye it the right shade of red.  i've gotten red brown w/ wella reds and neon red and red brown with ion color brilliance, so those didn't work :(

what im looking for are reccomendations of products, techniques, brands etc... that can help me reach my goal of having red hair......(pics below)

I have acess to sallys and professional beauty supply stores.  Id prefer to do it myself cuz of poorness issues ;) hehe;) but if anyone konws of any good colorists around the greenbay/appleton/oshkosh area, let me know those too!

Description of my hair:
-when i dye it it will be virgin hair (i'm growing out the old dark dye first,     should take a few months)
-Color is a medum sandy brown, thick, and dry-ish.

Here's the hair color i want to have:

That to me looks like an auburn red.  If you've got red brown then you're not too far off.

If you're growing out your hair completely then you may have to lighten your hair before trying to dye red again...red is a difficult colour to achieve because it has the largest colour molecules.  By lightening slightly your hair will become more porous and should take in the dye better instead of going red brown all the time (btw mine does the same thing).  But you have to be careful if your hair is already dry...I'd personally go to a professional.
