I dyed my hair way too dark and now I want to use a color remover but I am having a hard time finding one. I have heard that Shwarzkopf Modulat is good. Does anyone know where I could buy that or any other kind of color remover online? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi i.anne 130:

Usually color removers are only sold to a professional stylist. At least they should be because they are very strong and can cause a great deal of hair damage if not used properly.

Perhaps you local salon could remove the unwanted color and then recolor to what you want. This is really a tricky situation because just using color remover by itself will not make the hair all one color. It depends upon how much previous coloring there is already in the hair. The best bet it to let someone do this job professionaly. Forest

schwarzkopf has a site i dont know if you can order the modulat online but they can give you a distributer listing in your area. www.schwarzkopf.com if you have never used modulat before here are a few tips to get you going in the right direction. if you are allergic to sulphur, dohnt use it. it is a combination of citric and sulphuric acids. it smells awful but it is the most gentle color reducer on the market. if you have used shades or a semi-permanent, temporary color on your hair it wont work. anything with staining properties wont come out. modulat is a color reducer which means it works to shrink the color molecule so you can work it out of the hair. you have to scrub the hair, not the scalp. i recommend doing this 5 times 5 minutes each and rinsing 5 mins in between. scrub your hair like youre taking a stain out of a t-shirt this works the pigment out of the hair. good luck

i dont know if you are a professional or not so i would strongly advise you to go to a salon. to a color specialist and have this service done. there are way too many mistakes that can be made by trying this at home
