malaysian style of weaving???

has any1 heard of this? i looked it up and it is a style of weaving that involved using a single thread and attaching the weave 2 yur head, but it uses no braid or glue.
 
i dont understand how it works without braiding yur hair first,but they say it is not bumpy and is better 4 the hair 2 breath and be washed more easily. i dont think 2 many salons do this!
