I live in Malaysia yet most of the products I have ultilised western herbs like rosemary and lavender. The goverment is busy promoting asian herbs for asian people. In fact a lot of scientific research (from US and UK suprise suprise) promotes the superiority of asian herbs to their western counterparts. As far as I know it seems when it comes to purifying aian herbs win the race hands down but conidtioning and colour enchancing, western herbs tend to work better.Well anyway I have a friend whos Irish and she came here for a visit. She complained to me about her flat fine hair.We tried the Aveda's rosemary mint conditioner which contains spearmint (which i assume is western or roman) and it did gave her some body. Then we tried some homegrown mint (used in indian curries but definitely not spearmint) and her hair turn into a pom pom (seriously) Anyway I plan to buy some herbs and does anyone have an idea of how to use them.Like for example, the Watercress recipe for oily hair,i just blend handful and boil it, wait for it to cool down and saturate it on my scalp, wait for 20 minutes and wash it off.Any ideas and suggestions would be apreciated :) ps Some herbs especially those essential to ayurveda (indian traditional healing) like the famous Henna will darken hair so do be careful especially blondes :) Take care
