QuoteReplyTopic: Is Jojoba harmful to the scalp? Posted: August 08 2006 at 7:20am
I have just bought my first bottle of Jojoba oil. When I trawled the internet looking for instructions of how to apply it one said I should coat the tips of my hair and the middle but dont let it get within and inch of your scalp.
1. I have barely an inch of hair at the mo so its a bit of a mean feat!
2. I was hoping to buy an oil that I could use on my scalp aswell as it is very dry.
Does anyone know anything I can use on a dry scalp that is also a natural product? Does anyone apply Jojoba to their scalp? Help!!!
Jojoba oil is suppose to be a replica of the natural oil your head produces. My sister uses it on her scalp and it makes her hair real soft. I just think you shouldn't apply it everyday you know that they say about having too much of a good thing. If your looking for a good scalp oil you can try African Royal hot 6 oil. The ingredients are below. HTH
Yes, jojoba is supposed to be almmost the same as the natural oils found already on our scalp. I have used Jojoba oil and plan on buying more in the near future,it keeps my scalp moist and clean and got rid of any flakes present on my scalp. It has also promoted healthier and thicker growth for me too, I would personally recommed it.
Try making your own scalp blends with a base of jojoba (which is great for scalps) and some wonderful essential oils. I use Ylang and Ylang and it relaxes me into a human noodle. :-) Lavender is also good for chillin.
