Hi....I have a reallllly stupid question.....it must be because its 5:30 in the morning and I can't sleep...Im thinking crazy thoughts.

I had dyed auburn hair.....had my stylist bleach it....she had to cut it off shorter than what I wanted cause she melted some of it off....(want to kill her, never going back)  I've been devastated ever since and on an impulse dyed my hair back to a dark brown...thought it would help it to look better....my hair is only a couple inches long all over. I hate it.The dark isn't staying...I have wierd grayish blonde streaks and tips....now I'm thinking I should have just left it blonde and worked with it more, let it grow a bit....I HATE MY HAIR!!!  Could using a color remover EVER possibly....bring it back down to blonde???? I don't think there is any orange gold in my hair since its not holding....its a disaster. Ive heard a couple lucky people got it back pretty blonde with color fix....im thinking since the dark is rinsing out sooo easy...maybe it will all come out.  ughhh someone help me.
girls only want boyfriends who have great skills.

Go to Sally's (or a beauty supply store) and get ColorFix.  Try that to help remove the permanent dye.  I've used it and it works ok, but it may leave the base color still in your hair.  Since your hair became gray, I'm assuming you used an ash based color on top, which has a blue base.  Asfter using the colorfix, your hair might still show that base color a little and look duller than what you're used to.  But do try the color fix to remove it. I've heard that some people use Dawn dish soap to wash their hair to help it to fade faster.  The soap is harsher than regular shampoo, but not too harsh.  That may help you too.  But your hair probably will be duller than usual, so be prepared for that.  Good luck.

Oh, and sice your hair is probably dry from the damage and the dish soap will dry it out more, use a deep conditioner twice a week to help...justa suggestion.
