Just curious: Why do you think you look best in short hair?

judging by your clothing, jewerly, and your current haircut it appears that your style is very conservative and traditional. Some of those bob cuts are more "out there" (not in a bad way) and may look out of place on you. I get this impression from the simulated pic that you posted.  I think you want to gain some lenght and get a more blunt cut, and that is within the realm of the possible, but I would look for maybe a less drastic style.  I don't even have any ideas for you (I know, I offer the criticism and then offer nothing to really help you out!)  but maybe someone else here knows what I am getting at?

I will look around for more pics for you to consider and if I find anything of use, I will post them here.

i think you should let it grow at least chin length and then get a cute bob from that point.

I was going to say the same thing-you would look great with it chin-length.  Maybe keep the back trimmed and even, grow out the top layers, after it grows out get it cut more blunt and add layers at the bottom. I've done this and the process of growing it into a bob isn't too bad and won't take long. My hair is wavy/curly too, and I have it in a chin lenght cut with layers, but I blow dry it smooth with a round brush. I have been doing this to it for years and it comes out nice.  Smoother, a bit of wave, and everything goes in the right direction. You could keep some side-swept bangs with the bob style. I like them because they frame the face without covering it up, and they are easy to grow out if you get tired of them. Mine are about to the tip of my nose and cut at an angle.

From the top of my ear to my chin is about 4.5 inches so if you were the same it would be 9 months using the 1/2" per month average. But it might be less for you. Plus as soon as some of your hair reaches chin length you could start shaping it into some sort of bob while you wait for the rest to catch up. You could do one of those angled bobs that's longer in front and then let the back catch up.

However, you do not need to wait for any hair to reach chin length. You could try one of those shorter bobs in the pictures and then let those grow.

You have a lot of options. You are asking if you should get the shorter ones and others say grow it longer. You might as well try the short version now while you still have the shorter hair. Since you seem to like to experiment I would say give things a try.

I hope that makes sense or helps.

I still think what you really want is a bob but don't want the hassle of waiting for it to reach the proper length. If I were you, I would do just that anyway. Better than cutting it out of boredom and being unsatisfied with the style in the next couple of weeks.  In the meantime, just keep trimming the bottom layer in the back and grow out the top and sides. It really won't take all that long, and I think you will be much happier with the result. Good luck!
