Anyone tried this product? I have been trying to find something to strengthen my dry, damaged hair. I did a strand test and my hair just snapped. Can anyone reccomend a good product?
I have never tried Redken Anti-snap before so I don't know how well it works. Recently my boyfriends mom, who is a beautician, gave me a sample of Biosilk silk therapy and it did wonders for my dry, highlighted hair. It made my hair extremely soft and shiny. First I washed my hair with Biolage Hydrating shampoo (I switch off between the Biolage Hydrating shampoo and Loreal Hydravive shampoo) and conditioned with Biolage Conditioning balm. I get the biolage products free from my bf mom and they work great. After shampooing and conditioning I applied Biosilk silk therapy to the length and ends of my hair then blowdried it. I wouldn't apply too much especially near the scalp if your hair tends to get oily or your hair will look too greasy. To warn you the main ingredient in this product is cyclomethicone so I wouldn't recommend using it everyday because it will build up on your hair. You might want to try a clarifying shampoo once a week to help remove build up. I like using Neutrogena anti-residue shampoo it works really well. I usually use Biosilk Silk Therapy about once a week or on special occasions to make my hair soft, smooth, and shiny. I hope this helps.
You could always try a deep conditioning treatment to put some of the moisture back in your hair. Your hairdresser should be able to do this using the correct massage movements to stimulate the blood supply or you could buy a treatment over the counter like the Swiss Formular ones which are quite good too. Avoid using too much electrical heat.
