Hi, I have had my hair cut as the pixie cut for about a year and half and decided to grow it out. But I dont know how to grow it out and how to get it to grow faster without having to buy all these fancy products. Thanks, rps1980

Well, what you could do is let your hair grow and skip a few trims. But still get trims, like if u went every 8-10 weeks, go maybe every 14-16 weeks and just get the ends trimmed a little bit.

Hi, I havent cut my hair in two months and when i was having it cut i usaul had it cut every 3 to 4 weeks, so is it normal to take so long to grow out?
Hi there rps, I am doing exactly the same thing - I decided to grow out my pixie in December. I have been taking vitamins (nothing very expensive - Wal-Mart brand "Hair" vitamins, B-complex, Vitamin E), eating a lot of lean protein, and massaging my scalp. My hair grows fast (to keep it in pixie shape, I used to get it trimmed every three weeks) but now it`s really sprouting out. I got an inch and a half of growth in five weeks. (Boy, do I hope this keeps up... :)) I wish you luck. How long are you hoping to grow your hair? (My goal is mid-back.) sara

Jimbo - I really hope so! My hair has always grown fast (when I was keeping my pixie in shape, I would trim off almost 3/4 inch a month) but now it`s just growing like crazy. Which is great! :) I must have good hair genes! (Because after all, taking vitamins and such is just to *maximize* the potential growth of your hair, which is already encoded in your genes.) I`m also at the peak age for hair growth, so that helps too. I would LOOOVE to have mid-back hair by next year. Here`s keeping my fingers crossed. :) sara
