My hair is bleached blonde and for a while I've wanted to color a tiny part of the underlayer a fun vibrant shade of plum/violet or fuchia.  The last time I was at the salon I requested this, & my stylist would have done it, but she told me that if I did it, the violet color would rub off on some of my blonde hair, making it a lavendar-ish color.... so I opted out.  One of the other stylists in my salon had the same thing going on with her hair.  The front was bright red, the back was bleached blonde, and the red gradually faded into a pink shade before it got to the blonde (she didn't do that intentionally, it just happened from washing her hair a few times).  I thought it looked nice on the stylist, mostly because her red faded into pink, but I hate lavendar & I definitely don't want any of my hair to be lavendar.  Is there any way around this problem???  PLEASE HELP!

Thanks!!

You can try to wash your hair in the sink and pin up the separate parts alternately to wash them separately, then blow dry them separately, so they never touch each other wet.

Thanks for the response.  Unfortunately I'm waaaay too lazy to do that.  Do you think there are any other, less labor intensive ways I could get around the bright color rubbing off on my bleached hair?  What about a filler?
thanks.
