Hi all, I'm a newbie and am thinking of getting hair extensions. I currently have a perm and my hair is a little bit full (definitely not thin) and is shoulder length. I'm completely clueless about hair extensions and need information on what method is best for african-american hair. I've read all sorts of articles saying that they result in breakage etc. But all I want is for my hair to look fuller and thicker.
Are hair extensions the best? Are there other methods I could use to make my hair look fuller, more curly and thicker?
IMO hair weaves don't cause hair breakage. It all depends on the method used. When bonding weaves, there will deifnately be breakage. The best method would be to get them sewn in. HTH.

I agree a sew in is a good method. Also, have you looked at www.growafrohairlong.com. The author gives a method on taking care of your hair while in weave. You should check it out.
