QuoteReplyTopic: Relaxer and exercise? Need advice Posted: October 21 2006 at 5:20pm
I exercise regularly (3 to 4 times a week) and I have a short relaxed hairdo that I love and would like to keep. I don't know how to care for my hair and keep up my exercise regimen. My hair reverts quickly because of the sweat and it cannot withstand airdrying (the texture gets too rough). Any advice on techniques, tricks, products? I've tried natural do's and I don't like it (too much effort to maintain, don't like the styles...) For you sisters out there who believe in working out, what do you do?

Maybe someone can help you. When I was relaxed I worked out alot but I didn't care if my hair stayed straight or not, because I would rinse it after I was done working out. Maybe someone can assist you with this though, since you want to maintain the straight look.
Thanks for the advice, Carlie. I'll try that on my next workout to see if it works. How long does it usually take for your hair to dry under the scarf?

This is the same method that I use when working out. For me it usually takes about 2 1/2 hours, do not comb down before it's dry though. Your hair will be a frizzy wet mess!

YW. It doesn't take that long as it evaporates while I'm doing other things.
