You can actually purchase a prepaid credit card at CVS. After you run out of money- you just go back there to refill it, HTH.

The ones at CVS I don't like - I found them to be a ripoff ($20 for the card and $5-10 to reload !) and many times they don't have the reusable card. And you have to reload what they want you to, not what you want. Here are 2 others that may work out better:

Wiredplastic.com

and ACE check cashing has their own card for only $9.95. It's $3 to reload.

Lyrical, thanks for asking this question.  I am anti-credit card and even anti-atm card right now, cause hubby and I are saving every penney for a house.

Prepaid cards never crossed my mind.  I did the research and stinastina's suggestion - to get ACE cash checking card - seems to be the most cost-effective.

Surge is sold at almost every BSS I have graced call and ask. Also for a good prepaid card try a check cashing place.
