I was wondering if thick hair with volume look better short or long. I appreaciate any ideas!

I have a lot of volume and I`ve had all hair lengths. Personally I prefer my hair longer to weigh down some of the volume, as I find when I go to short it becomes a big puff ball and not very attractive at all!
