QuoteReplyTopic: pretipped fusion with liquid gold Posted: November 03 2006 at 5:44am
Hi, I've only ever done wefts before but I want to try pretipped with smaller chunks as my hair weft is woven onto cornrows at the back but I glue them at the front and it's inconvinient to have to re-glue them every few weeks and also annoying that it's hard to wear my hair up as the wefts at the front show through.
I've seen a method where the pretipped hair is made by brushing liquid gold glue onto a cut piece of weft, left for a few minutes for the glue to harden a bit then rolled between the fingers and the weft at the end cut of to create cheaper pre-tipped hair.
The hair is then put into the hair by sectioning off natural hair, taking a piece the size of the tipped or smaller and then a bit more glue brushed on and then rolled again.
I was just wondering if that is a safe way to do this method? Has anyone found it to be messy? Is there any damage to the hair? And I've heard acetone is the best way to remove them, is this correct?
Thankyou

IMO using LG for individuals doesnt work well. First its very messy. It doesnt make a neat bond. And doesnt look nice. They wont last very long either. If you want to install individuals I would suggest sticking with fusion, rings or shrinkies.
