I regularly get my dark ash blonde hair highlighted/lowlighted with Goldwell, and about three months ago, I had it lowlighted again. Although I went to the same salon, the stylist I went to used the Redken color line instead of Goldwell. When she was done, my hair was a reddish brown instead of the brown I like, especially at the roots. I hated it, so the salon owner did it again with a Goldwell ash-toned color. It turned out more brown, but the red was still there. The red has faded a lot, but the color of my hair is still a much warmer brown than it had ever been. I am going to get lowlights put in again this Friday, and am scared it will not turn out the correct shade of brown. I want absolutely no red in my hair-- blonde highlights are fine, but no red. What could the colorist do, put only ash shades in my hair, instead of the one ash and one warm shade they usually use?
