hi, i am new here, but i have a couple questions.
i have previously bleached my natural blonde hair twice in the last 3 months. its healthy. but now i have some bad roots coming it. they look so dark compared to the bleached hair. although the bleached hair is not platnium, its more of a golden, yellowish color. and i have used a toner on it before. my question is though, i would really like to know what products exactly to use to get my hair platnium blonde, or maybe a little lighter. ive read claudes color forum, but i am still confused. im going to sallys in a little bit. my friend told me to buy the 30 developor and a controling color?
i dont know. i just dont get what to buy exactly. and then how would i mix it. i wish i could afford to go to a salon but i am out of money since august. and my mom will only pay for it if i do it myself. and these roots are killing me. thank you!!
I'm not a pro, but no one seems to be answering color questions lately
so here I am. You could bleach until its the color of the inside
of a banana peel (almost white, very pale yellow). After you
bleach, you need a violet toner. Violet counters yellow
(gold). You will have to bleach your roots to the same shade of
yellow as the rest of your hair before you do it though, or they won't
match. To do your roots each time, you will have to bleach them
only (don't put the bleach on your whole head every time). I
can't help you with the mixing, but it should tell you how to use it on
the packaging and I've heard people say toners turned out too gray for
them, so test strand to make sure you will like it.
If you want to do what your friend said and buy 30 volume developer and
dye it with a light blonde (I assume that's what they mean when they
say controlling color?), get one with a violet base. I heard from
a pro this may damage your hair a more, because its a lot of peroxide
and you already bleached it. So I'm not sure pros recommend that.
