hello all
im new to this site but im loving it already
i need your help please. sorry this is so long
i have recently had a baby ( my little boy is 15 weeks old now) and my hair is in a bit of a state, not because i had a baby but because of my hormones and what they made me do
i have fine hair that is naturally a mucky brown colour, i havent had my hair uncoloured since i was 15 as i hate it so much. I used to have shoulder lenght hair that was highlighted blonde which i loved. I usually have my hair coloured at hairdressers.
When i got pregnant the highlights didnt take to my hair so in my wisdom i decided to dye it brown ( i hate my hair brown as it does nothing for me except make me look very pale and ill) well it didnt go brown it went a strange reddy / orange colour.
whilst i was pregnant i coloured my hair 3 times with different brands / shades and everytime they all went the same strange red / orange colour. after i had my son i decided to colour my hair a deep red (again dont know why as doesnt suit me) i hated this from the moment i coloured it and i tried everything to cover it up (washing it everyday in vosen and recolouring it brown) nothing works but i have now coloured my hair again ( last week) and its now a warm brown which i can live with for now.
when should i be able to got for this highlighting blonde again and will me putting so many different colours on it cause any problems with this?
sorry this is so long im just hating my hair colour and style at the minute
please can you offer any help / advice
Thanks, Jan

Well,Jan,You'll want to deep condition ALOT before you do anything, and trim your ends. Next time you color your hair, you may try using a protein filler (you can buy it at Sally's or any beauty supply store) Get the colorless kind (neutral) and add about 1-2 ounces of that to your haircolor, and that should ensure even haircolor all over and give you less damage while giving you some shine and body. I'm not exactly sure when you should highlight, cuz I dont know what kind you use or how long you leave it on your hair. I'm guessing your hair is pretty porus right now though from all the coloring,so I wouldnt leave it on that long when you do.Keep an eye on it,because it is likely it will lighten pretty quickly. Dont feel bad though, hormones make us all do crazy things. When I was preganat I dyed my blonde hair a very bright intense red and I looked like strawberry shortcake,LOL.
