I would like to take my natural dark brown hair to a light brown, is there any way to do it with an at home product that wont kill my hair? Please help!!!!!!!

If you are in doubt, which it seems you are then go for a very light brown and add a few blonde highlights to give you a better idea. Im sorry coz i cant really recommend any at home products, however i hope this helps a bit.

Your hair will have to be bleached.It will be somewhat damaging exspecially if you go blonde. Light brown may be best to start off with,and then you could go lighter later. You will ONLY bleach until hair looks kinda orange (not as damaging as going yellow) Then,you must have picked out a nice light brown color that you like.I suggest adding a neutral protein filler (sally's or other beauty supply store) to the dye you pick.This will help keep damage to a minimum and add some shine and strength back your hair(ps,it also helps you get the color even all over)
I think the highlight idea is a really good one though. Most people find with a few highlights,they dont really even need or want to color all over.
