hello,

Before you ask, yes i am a bit of a fool. I know nothing
in the ways of the hair color or the bleach, so please
could someone help me? :)

Firstly, i am a guy(that explains the foolishness) with 2-3 inch long darkish brown hair. At the moment, ive got
it in a slightly messed up sticking up in front sort of look
(on purpose) and im going for a change in style.

Basically, i want to go a medium, natural blond but also
to have some lighter blond highlights on top/ bleach the
tips on top.

>> Trouble is, i really dunno how to do this:
to lighten my hair i presume i`ll have to bleach and then color my hair to get the blond, but to get highlights or
bleached tips wouldnt i have to bleach again?
Does bleach bleach colored hair?

I`m really confused! Please help!
Thanks :D
Jon

Hi! Here’s what you need to know about developer, 20 volumes will lift you 2 shades and 30 volume 3 shades. I believe most “over the counter” hair colors are 20 volume.
Does you hair have any color on it now? If so let me know. If not then choose the color you want. You should probably try a dark blonde color, it might work better. Only choose an ash color if your natural color has red in it. After you color, pull your hair through a cap and apply the bleach. Don’t let it dry out because it will loose its effectiveness. Try about 10 min to process then wipe off a piece of hair and see if it’s the color you want. If it is your done, shampoo and condition, if not then check every 5 min until it’s the color you want.
