brushing the correct way creates curls. like the top foward the back downward , the sides in a diaganol line. use motions in use foam wrapping lotion. it has superoir shine and hair lays down superb. nelly uses a kit. he has no time to brush.(lol)

It sounds like you texture may be too straight so I would suggest some curl activator gel or spray. The popular brand is s curl. This should bring out curls in your hair. As far as pomades it really dont matter you have thick ones and light one's nither give you waves they just hold and define whats already there. If you have some waves and you want a better shine try lets jam gel. Brushing is how you get waves plain and simple if it makes your hair straight then chances are waves arent possible for you. Nelly usually has a fade.

seen, my hair aint straight tho.. not straight at all. but due to the severity of brushing, it appears so for a while, so as my man butch says i may need to activate the curls slightly while brushing so it comes out.
there's a very simple answer...ur hairs straight because it hasnt reached it wavelength yet...ur hair just takes a little bit longer to curl up..as it starts to curl, the brush will straighten it out therfore creating the wave..ur prolly on week two huh?? yea dont cut it for about 10 weeks or so u gotta establish the pattern in ur hair so u can strengthen ur ingrain
