I need some help. I have stripped my dark brown hair with colorfix, 5 times and whenever I dye it the hair goes back to a nasty brown color. I've tried bleach, dye and a 10 vol rinse and nothing is budging it. It even gets darker when I wash it with dishsoap. I'm really getting frustrated with it, I look like a moron with yellow/orange hair. I've used colorfix before and never had any trouble..Please give me some advice!!!!!

Hi sorry to hear about what has happened. I know people always say it but I would go to a professional to get this one sorted out....I wouldn't advise messing with it yourself anymore.... you'l be better of in the long run. Good luck.
i dont quite understand...you said it 'goes back to a brown'...but then you said it's yellow/orange?.....
my first reaction to your post is that maybe, since you've used this so much, your hair is now super-porous, and when you use your color now it is grabbing too much giving you the 'darker' undesired color
to help counteract that, you can use a protein filler before you color....and i assume you are using a semipermanent rather than a permanent color now

Well, what color are you trying to achieve? I agree about the protein filler...and I dont think using it 5 times is a very good thing! It only removes color,it doesnt lighten it.If you want it lighter, you will have to bleach. You may want to wait a bit though since you used the colorfix so much.Condition very well!!!
P.s. Is it brown or gold/orange as you said? I'am confused on that as well. If it is gold/orange~what you need to do is put COLOR on it. But it wont go blonde if that is what you are trying to do without first bleaching it more...and you'll have to leave it on longer. How long have you left the bleach on for???
