QuoteReplyTopic: Where to apply strand extensions???? Posted: December 25 2006 at 9:18pm
Hello everyone, I'd really appreciate it if someone were able to help me out here. Ok, I've never done strand by strand extensions on myself, and I'm not too sure on where on the head to apply them so that they don't show..it'd be great if someone could show me a tutorial on EXACTLY where to apply them. Thanks in advance ;]

I hate to be crass, but if you dont know then you shouldnt do it.Fusion isnt easy. You could really wreck your hair.I would get a practice head first. And doing it on yourself is even harder. There are many easier, seamless, and cost effecient ways for you to do yourself.Bonded wefts look much more natural in my opinion.Plus you can reuse the hair granted the hair is better quality. If you have your heart set on fusion then I would practice first.Your hair will thank you for it.Good luck.

I've tried other methods and they were fine, but I dislike the whole taking them out every 3 weeks thing. I'm not afraid of doing them on my own, I've applied a little on my own hair and it was just fine, but never did my entire head. I'm only worried about how far up to go, how to part my hair from the very top and on the sides and where to apply/not apply..so any info or pics on that would be great...

I never practiced on a mannequin head (don't have one). I'm very good at visualizing though , it was not easy, but it can be done! I followed the guidelines of ladies on this board and voila... .
I learn to love and try to understand everyone I meet. I see the rainbow hiding in their eyes.
