newbie help

Hello everyone I need some help, I read somewhere on here Sharyg11 said something about the swivel plates on the Solia flat iron,and not to get that one but on the Folica site i found no mention of a 1 1/4 one without the swiveling plates. Is the one with the adjusting plates ok or a pain to use? want to order soon any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much

Thank You Sharyg11,actually I did find that post & what you had said.I ordered the 1 1/4 already,I had a 1 1/2 HT that I returned(my honey didn't know bless his heart) I do have the Heat glide-Redken that you suggested. I've read what you have told others,however 2drops in my long hair,can that really provide that much heat protection ? I rub it in my hands to apply but it really doesn't feel like its enough to go thru all this thick mass of mine,i don't want it greasy but I sure do want all the strands protected..& yes this is my first rodeo with a flatiron LOL
