lol i don't realy thin ya'll should be using soap, i think it'll dry your hair out. Shampoo was created for a reason right? Shampoo got the healthy stuff you suppose to be puttin in your hair.

aha, it dryed up hair up the next day lol, but that was the first time doin it (tryna see if theirs other things that work for me) and i used dove, but yea cmotown is right i dont think i should use that method :x
You should try mxing. If a certain product is lacking in a certain area and strong in another pick a product that has the exact oposite attribues.
Example: Soap has a strong hold but may dry hair. First apply soap, then pomade then CC. Soap will maintain hold while CC moisterizes. And it won't cake up because the CC will get absorbed.

Hey, I just want to re-iterate. Who ever thought up the soap method is a great in every sense of the word. If you do this method correctly, It has great advantages and It works wonders on holding. I just developed an alternative method based on the Soap method.
In Which You first, Rub the soap into your wave form.(Not too much soap.) I use johnsons baby soap (Its gentle on skin, Therfore, Cant go wrong their). lol.
leave in for a couple minutes, then brush.. for say 10 minutes.
Wash out.
Add pomade.
Brush say 20 minutes.
Add a tiny bit more of the soap.
and brush in. wet hair slightly with hot rag.
Wet du rag in warm water. Put it on.
put another du rag over this.
Then.. wait till dry.
