Ghd have launched a brand new Pink hair straightener for 2006 and this year it’s even better!

For a number of year’s ghd have supported the charity ‘Breakthrough Breast Cancer’ by launching a limited edition pink ghd hair straightener in limited quantities and donating £10 from each iron sold to the charity.

This year ghd decided to launch the much awaited ghd Mark 4 hair straightener in Hot Pink! The ghd mark 4 straightener is the next generation iron in every sense and will ultimately replace the Mark 3.1b straightener that has proved such a success in recent years. Enhancements to the iron include:

  • 2 year product warranty
  • Auto multi voltage for use anywhere in the world
  • Sleep mode – the iron switches itself off after 15 minutes
  • A new rounded barrel to make it easier to create curls, flicks and waves.

The iron in hot pink has black plates and come with stylish heat protective pouch. Produced in limited quantities the Mark 4 version of the iron will also be available as part of a luxury gift bag available at Christmas and ultimately as a separate item early in January.

Hi Jacster,

Just to let you know, this year to highlight breast cancer month, GHD are still donating £10 from each iron sold to the charity. They are selling fast though and GHD anticipates that they will run out by end of the month. Get one now and support a good cause in the process!

Thanks Kirsty

Gwyneth Paltrow says she received inspiration for her character in Country Strong from Robert Downey, Jr. who went through a well documentated battle.

In 'Country Strong,' Gwyneth Paltrow plays a country star rising back from the bottom. But before she could do that, she had to learn how to take the fall.

"I just couldn't understand how you could be so drunk that you could wreck people's lives and then wake up the next day and pretend everything was fine," she said in an interview with Reuters. "I struggled with that."

Seeking inspiration and insight, Paltrow said that she reached out to her 'Iron Man' co-star Robert Downey, Jr., who went through a well documented battle with addiction and misbehavior.

"I asked Robert, 'How does this work?'" she said. "He was really articulate about addiction and the psychology behind it. He really helped me a lot."

The results, it seems, may be as successful as Downey's own comeback. For much more of the interview, head over to Reuters.
