Could someone give me the names of gels that don't cause flakes. Right now I'm using the Ampro clear gel. I have used IC Fantasia pink gel.  Or I want to know I'm I doing something wrong with applying the gel. Because I use it to mold and sculpt my hair after washing and conditioning my hair.

Gels that contain drying alcohols usually causes flakes. I personally like FOTE Vitamin E Gel and Long Aid Curl Activator Gel, they dont contain any drying alcohols and both are moisturizing.

FOTE vitamin E Gel or flax seed gel is great.    However, i think the flax seed gel may not mold your hair.  When you say mold do you mean harden as well into that style...for instance finger wave "molding"?

Not finger wave molding. Like wrapping your hair type of molding. And then when it dries you comb it out and flat iron your hair.  And by they way I live in Tennessee. I haven't seen a gel that's has that name.

FOTE gel is fruite of the earth gel...it's not in the hair product section. Actually, you have to go into the sun tanning lotion department and its used for sunburns and its multi purpose.
Flax seed gel is made by soaking flax seeds in warm water.

Lets Jam. It gives shine, hold (without making the hair hard) and keeps the hair moisturized. Been using this for many, many years. Experimented with other gels but was disappointedThumbs%20Down. Not even IC Fantasia measures up. Jam can be a little greasy for some people, but I'd rather that than the flakes, hardness and dryness.

I've tried Let's Jam and Elasta QP Glaze. Both of them seem to melt on your hair. I didn't like that. And it really didn't hold my hair in place.

True, Jam will tend to "melt" in hot/humid temperatures. I wouldnt suggest using it if you are going to be out in the sun most of the day, or at the beach or anything like that. Otherwise, it holds great and smells heavenly IMO

I use Aloe Vera gel. It's doesn't flake and whne I wear my hair out it stay soft or if I pull it back it's very neat and lay flat but not at all hard and crunchy.

is there anything like Elasta QP that doesn't "melt". I love the way it is when you first put it in. I want something that stays that way. Let's Jam competes too much with my perfume.

I make a non greasy pomade that will do things that gel does but without the flakes and the drying out. It's all natural so don't worry. It was first intended for me and the guys to lay our hair down when brushing to get waves but recently my girl put some in after her press got tired to make a ponytail and it layed it right down with no frizz.

I have free samples if anyones interested.
