LG protac combo (tutorial)

Hi everyone! I feel like I've been gone forever! I have been lurking but I've been so busy with school I havent really had the time to post. I graduate in about 2 months and then I can apply for my state boards and get my license and join the ranks of you professionals. I'm super excited!
Anyway, I'm on a sick day today wih a rotten cold and bored so I'm not sure if anyones tried this method or not yet but I thought i'd share.
i've never had any luck at all with protac, it hardly ever held for me and when it did it was unbearably gummy and made a real mess, and LG only lasts a week or two. I must have a really oily head or something.
anyway, I read a post on here a while back about coating your protac with LG and using it that way and it gave me an idea.
I have had my wefts in now for 3 weeks with absolutely now slipping, no gumminess and no need for touching up parts that are coming out. they feel as solid as the day I put them in which is unheard of for me and a glue in method. I'm not even being careful about keeping conditioner away from my roots.
I think it might work because all the glue is sealed away inside the wefts and protected from the elements so to speak, it also allows the protac to essentially stick to itself which seems to be a pretty strong hold. You could probably use this method without the LG as well but i havent tried it.
I'm sure you resourceful ladies have figured this out already, but I figured I'd mention it in case you havent :)
I should mention, I have not tried to remove the wefts yet, so can't comment on ease of removal.

1: part the hair
2: cut two pieces from your weft of the same length and put protac on each one. I used the roll I got from Sherrie and cut it in half.
3: attach the first piece to your part, leave a little distance from the root for manouvreing (sp?) because you'll be flipping it up
4: left up your weft and clip it in place to keep it still
5: coat second piece of weft with LG
6: stick to the underside of your first piece

yep, thats basically it. I suppose I could have just said that, haha

I'm so glad to hear that you're doing well in school. Thanks for posting this tutorial. It looks really secure and I'm glad you're having success with it.

I will definately post an update on how my removal goes, i'll be taking them out and re-installing next weekend.
I'm pretty excited, I have been wearing strand by strand methods because glue has always performed so badly for me, but I prefer a weft method as i find the hair just hangs better, you don't get that tell tale 'stringy' look that you get with strand by strand if you're not brushing it every hour or so (in my experience) plus you cant beat weft methods for speed of application.
I really think it must be because the glue adheres so well to itself that the grip it has on my (presumably very slippery) hair isn't as important. Whatever the reason, I'm pretty happy with it!

i still wear long sleeves and all of that, but I got a lip plug the same colour as a band aid and switched it out one day and they never noticed so at least I don't have a giant band aid on my face anymore. haha
