hmmm....well you got a few options. i myself am trying to grow out my short hair, and have been successful b/c i havent gotten it cut in 4 months. it looks a little funny, but it will be worth it when it all gets to one length and long again. if you keep having to get it cut, you could always talk to your stylist and see if there is a style he or she can cut it into that will let your hair grow back in at the same length. you might have to get it cut shorter then it is now, but at least when it grows back in, it will grow in evenly or somewhat close to it (different hairs on your head grow at different speeds) what ive been doing is every month, i will have just the back of my hair, the bottom of it, cut about a half inch, that way the rest of the hair in the back can catch up to the bottom. also for the front and sides of my hair, skinny hairbands work good. the kind that have the little teeth that grab at your hair so it holds good. that way you can cover up all the uneven hair in the front, and since it pushes all the hair back, it makes your hair look fuller. baby barettes, poly bands (the clear ones, or the colored ones if you want to add a little spunk) work great. pull little sections of your hair back, and wrap the band around it. polybands are great for doing just small sections of hair. bobby pins (the little ones) work good. get some that have little sequins or something at the ends, so they decorate your hair. the growing out of your hair is gonna be more of a pain then having long hair, but what i do, is like when im in the shower, and washing my hair, since its getting longer, it feels fuller and i like the feel of actually being able to run my fingers through it. other than that, since your hair is wavy you said, try putting some gel in it, and trying to blowdry it straight, if you dont mind using a blowdryer on it. the best way to put it is, your hair will start to relax once it gets a little long, so if you can put up with it for a tad while until it gets to that length, you will be all set
