First of all Im a male with a thick, curly/wavy head of hair. I have had long hair for about 4 years now. For the past two years Ive been straightening my hair weekly. There is no apparent wear and tear from the iron but i would like to go a different route in my hair care. Curly hair is way to unmanagable for me especially with my volume. I have a few questions. Are there any shampoos, conditioners, balms, etc that can leave my curls in a more relaxed state even when dry? I have though about chemical treatments, but my mom is against it because of her own experience . What are good chemical treatments to even just relax my hair to a state where is it managable? I will probably go to my hair dresser this week to get a trim, and ask about treatments. Any suggestions, information, and guidance is welcomed! Thank you all!
