Hi

I am currently growing my hair out (for like the 4th time in the last year or something). Anyways it`s been 4 months since i`ve seen the inside of a salon and aside from me hacking at my ends with a nail scissors, it hasnt been cut since the 10th of February.

My hair is currently just covering my ears at the sides and above collar length at the back with longish layers and bangs that are almost eyebrow length. (Kind of like Rob Thomas from Matchbox20 or the Beatles with layers and grown out about 2 months)

Anyway the style in question is the one worn by Kevin Richardson of Backstreet Boys on the videos for Shape of my heart and the call. It`s sort of mid ear length i think at the sides and longer at the back with lots of layering and some feathering i think.

I also like the style worn by Eddie Cahill aka Tag on Friends and he was also on Felicity

I think these styles looks way cool and would love my hair to look like that eventually.

My hair is slightly wavy and quite thick. At the moment when blowdried it looks like a pseudo bob coming to mid ear at the sides but without the short nape. Will the style suit me and also how can i get it??? One thing`s for sure I dont want a bob. i think my hair`s too thick for it and i prefer not to blowdry. I also used to wear my hair in a centreparted undercut or `mushroom` style for years which is one style i never want to revert to.

i`ll try and post a pic of my hair as it is soon

there are pics of Eddie`s style available at either :

Ingo, you said your hair is quite thick and wavy and that you would love it if your hair could look like Eddie Cahill`s... obviouslyhairstyles look different on each individual, so Eddie`s hairstyle may look great on him but not so great on you... anyway, it sounds like you are going for the long look- growing in popularity for sure!
my advice to you is to KEEP GROWING IT!!! my friend has thick wavy hair, too and he was in the painful proccess of growing it out... but then he got sick of waiting, so he cut it kind of medium length and now he totally regrets it! even if it may be really annoying... just grow it out, k?!?! and once it`s long enough for you, just compare what it looks like to another picture of you with a shorter hairstyle and ask the opinion of friends, etc.! YOU`LL NEVER KNOW UNLESS YOU TRY
