I read a few posts about curling thermofibre, but it always says that you should leave the ends out, how much should i leave out? maybe an inch or so? And what about that crimped end look? I don't want hair that is curly the first 19 inches and pin straight the last inch. So this is kind've directed towards amm, 'cause her elite thermofibre is absolutley beautiful when its curled.
I think Amm leaves the ends out because she likes the look. If the ends get frizzy, you can use a straight iron on them.
I just rolled the entire length of the hair in a large perm roller and dunked the entire thing in boiling hot water. (You have to be careful not to let the hot water drip on your skin - keep a towel around your neck). I let the hair cool on the roller, then took it out and let it dry. The curl came out beautiful, and I think it is faster than holding dripping wet hair around a curling iron until it sizzles. The ends didn't frizz at all.
Typically I wrap it around the barrel and never clamp it inside the tong. It keeps just the tiny bit of end free. The whole look appears curled. You don't have to keep the ends free but it does ensure it doesn't get crimped on the bottom. Human hair can get the crimpy bend on the end if it's not rolled all the way in there so just roll it up well like you would do for any ends. :)
